British American Tobacco has forecast that sales of its vapour products will double to £1bn (€1.12bn) next year, as the UK parliament opened an inquiry to establish the health and economic impact of electronic cigarettes.

A TOTAL of 28 countries from around the world, plus the European Commission, lined up yesterday to endorse a landmark global anti-smoking treaty on the first day it was open for signature.
