A 62-year-old woman has given birth to a healthy 6lb 9oz baby boy, becoming one of the oldest women in the world to successfully bear a child.

A 66-YEAR-OLD Romanian woman yesterday became the world’s oldest recorded mother after giving birth to a baby girl.

A 67-year-old Romanian woman gave birth today to a baby girl, hospital officials said. The child’s twin sister was stillborn, they said.
