WHILE in the Kerry Gaeltacht recently I spoke to a woman who has been living there for more than 40 years.

IN response to Darren Mac an Phríora (Letters, July 13) regarding the Irish language, I wish to point out that Foras na Gaeilge is the body responsible for the promotion of the Irish language throughout the island of Ireland — a role which involves facilitating and encouraging the use of Irish in the public and private arena on an all-island basis.
