Leeds’ new head coach Garry Monk is confident he can succeed where half a dozen others have failed by turning the club into Championship promotion contenders under owner Massimo Cellino.

Austrian drinks company Red Bull has confirmed it has no interest in taking control of Leeds or investing in the club.

Massimo Cellino does not hang around. The chain-smoking, aviator-wearing Italian sacked Darko Milanic on Saturday, just 32 days after making him his fourth Leeds manager in eight months.
