A German company contracted to carry out “no expense spared” glazing works for the facade of the proposed flagship Dublin headquarters of Anglo Irish Bank has lost its action for compensation when the project did not proceed.

WITH this week’s refusal by the High Court to appoint an examiner to seven companies in the Zoe Developments group, it looks like property developer Liam Carroll has used up his final lifeline in a bid to save his business empire.

The Health and Safety Authority has ordered an examination of all cranes on the Dublin building site where a damaged jib caused severe disruption to local residents and commuters last week.
