Reigning champion Lance Armstrong wrapped up his fourth consecutive Tour de France title, while Robbie McEwen and Baden Cooke swept to an Australian one-two finish on the 20th and final stage from Melun to Paris.

Frenchman Laurent Jalabert clinched stage four of the Tour de France after winning a two-man sprint duel to the line in Verdun.
