FAMILIES of three Irish men facing trial in Colombia have appealed to the international community to send independent observers amid fears they will not receive a fair hearing.

We, as families of three Irish citizens incarcerated in Colombia, wish to highlight the fact that they have now been held for 12 months without trial.
