EIRCOM is on the hunt for a new chief executive, following the announcement last night of the resignation of the current incumbent, Rex Comb.

COMREG has handed Eircom the 3G license it withdrew from Smart Telecom as the former State-owned telecommunications company pushed revenue growth up 9% in the quarter to the end of January.

Eircom today confirmed Rex Comb as its new chief executive officer.
