A Canadian man who returned home after spending 10 years at the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay is desperate to be a normal, contributing member of society, his lawyer says.

The Guantanamo tribunal system was preparing today for its first trial under President Barack Obama.

The US military has filed murder charges against Omar Khadr, a Canadian who was a teenager when he was captured in Afghanistan and sent to the Guantanamo Bay prison in 2002.
