A Fingal man facing a firearm and a drugs charge that carries possible life imprisonment has been refused permission to visit Amsterdam to celebrate his birthday.

The garda in charge of the investigation into the death of Siobhan Kearney decided the situation looked sinister on the day of her death a Central Criminal Court jury has heard.

The three men who were killed in a road accident near Listowel, Co Kerry in the early hours of this morning have been named by gardai.
