John McCririck’s employment tribunal is set to begin on September 30 as the former presenter continues his legal battle with Channel 4.

Former Channel 4 Racing pundit John McCririck yesterday revealed he has started legal proceedings against the broadcaster as he seeks damages totalling £3m following his axing from its racing coverage.

Racing pundit John McCririck today said he is to sue Channel 4 for £3m (€3.7m) claiming the broadcaster axed him from its racing coverage because he was too old.

Channel 4 Racing have appointed Clare Balding as their new lead presenter.
