AS darkness last night enveloped the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Newcastle West, candles flickered in a symbolic embrace of two communities in Limerick and Cork devastated by grief.

A large crowd of people has attended a prayer meeting in the town of Newcastle West in Limerick in memory of the four people murdered there last Tuesday.
