These pages recently revealed the plight of a woman whose electricity bill was in arrears and who endured Christmas without power (‘I’ve had no electricity since October and the privateers leave me cold’, January 6). 

I recently wrote to An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, to express my view that the practice of both, his, and his ministers, being off the island, over the St Patrick’s Day festival, is not only misguided, but very wrong.
