Children’s favourite George from the classic television programme Rainbow was attacked and punched in the face during a stage show, it was revealed today.

The theme tune to Rainbow is being released as a single by Zippy and George.

Puppet character Zippy from cult children’s TV show Rainbow will return to the screens next month in an advertisement for the spread Marmite.
