The family of Brother Gerard Dillon are reiterating their call for an investigation into the accusations made against him on RTÉ's 'Mission to Prey' programme.

TWO former pupils have provided testimonials challenging sexual abuse allegations made against a deceased Clarecastle Christian Brother missionary in a controversial RTÉ documentary.

AS RTÉ eventually appears to be learning lessons about what they see as their right to publish what they like about a citizen, they are still using the oldest trick used by the media – “an anonymous source” or “a reliable source” or “other sources” — to justify their allegations of child sex abuse against Br Dillon now deceased in South Africa.

RTÉ has denied claims by the family of another missionary featured in the Prime Time Investigates documentary Mission to Prey that the allegations it makes against their relative are incorrect, unsubstantiated, and prejudiced.
