SUPERQUINN last night blamed the cheap price of groceries in the North for its decision to make 400 staff redundant as part of cost-cutting measures which include the closure of its Dundalk store.

Cross-border motorists heading north are being warned to expect long delays and tailbacks today.

THE town of Dundalk has pledged to try and fight the proposed closure of the Diageo plant with the loss of at least 85 jobs.
