THERE were smiles galore in Waterford over the past week, but they were not all about the county minor hurling team winning the All-Ireland championship for the first time in 65 years.

AWARD-winning actor Anna Manahan’s old theatrical group, the Waterford Dramatic Society, is celebrating its 75th anniversary with its production of Sean O’Casey’s classic canon The Plough and the Stars in the city.
