Mary Immaculate booked their place in the Fitzgibbon Cup quarter-final following a 4-24 to 1-19 win over Limerick Institute of Technology at the Mary I GAA Grounds.

Conor Kavanagh scored two goals for reigning champions Liam Mellows as they beat Castlegar 3-15 to 2-13 in the big city derby in Group 1 of the Galway SHC at Pearse Stadium.
