AN Iranian woman blinded with acid by her suitor for turning down his marriage proposal spared him at the last minute from being blinded too as punishment for his crime, Iranian media reported on Sunday.

An Iranian woman who was blinded by a suitor who threw acid on her face has pardoned her attacker at the last minute, sparing him from being blinded by acid as retribution.

IT will cost an Iranian man convicted of throwing acid in the face of a fellow student €2 million to escape a court-ordered blinding, the Arman newspaper quoted his victim as saying.
