MORE than 700,000 people – one in every six of the population – tuned into TV3 on Sunday to decide on the fate of Aiden Grimshaw and Katie Waissel vying for glory.

TV3 is aiming to cement its position as the country’s second favourite TV channel and close the gap on RTÉ 1 with a new autumn schedule which sees a record number of home-produced programmes by the station.
