A national survey showing pre-school children have inappropriate diets finds most parents believe food fads prevent them from providing a healthy diet for their child.

MORE than a quarter of Irish men and a fifth of Irish women are obese, the findings of a national survey have revealed.

FOUR out of five Irish teenagers are about the right weight, but have diets rich in junk food and low in calories.
