ONE of Ireland’s best hopes for a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in London is likely to be mobbed by autograph-hunters when she opens a boxing club in north Cork tonight.

Newly crowned world lightweight champion Katie Taylor jetted in to a heroine's reception at Dublin Airport this morning following her exploits at the 5th AIBA Women's World Championships in Ningbo City, China.

Katie Taylor produced a magnificent performance in the lightweight final at the AIBA Women's World Championships in Ningbo City to win the Women’s World Championship title.
