ANN MALLORY (Irish Examiner letters, February 10) is correct about the unattractive, creeping urbanisation and industrialisation occurring between Cork city and Midleton.

ON Monday a decision is virtually certain to be made to rezone 133 acres of farmland for industrial use. Behind it is the lure of between 800 and 1,500 jobs in east Cork.
