A strong enough re-make of the 2005 French thriller – though still lacking that certain style that the French can give their films, specially their thrillers – given substance by a strong cast and the backcloth of scenic Venice.

Alexander starring Colin Farrell, is a film so awful that even the director comes clean to admit it … and it is a glorious turkey.
