Ireland live television News, a new digital television channel aimed at the global market, was officially launched on 22 February in Dublin with a live broadcast by An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern.

Irish people throughout the world will be able to keep up with developments at home with the launch today of the country’s first 24-hour television channel.
