Katie Taylor has vowed to put everything on the line in Central Asia to edge a step closer to writing a chapter in the history of international women’s boxing that will probably never be surpassed.

Katie Taylor took a major step towards retaining her lightweight title at the Women’s World Boxing Championships in Barbados, where she outpointed the Russian, Anastasia Belyakova, 16-1 in last night’s quarter-finals.

KATIE TAYLOR continued her defence of her lightweight title and her quest for a third successive world title with an emphatic 15-points victory over the Pan American champion, Adriana Araugo (Brazil) at the AIBA world championships at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium in Bridgetown, Barbados, last night.
