We're open for business is the defiant message from traders and residents on Cork's North Main Street who used the street's closure to hold a pop-up street party over the weekend to highlight the area’s vibrant culture.

Suitably decked out in 40 shades of verdant green, a most patriotic Menu is all set to celebrate Lá Fhéile Pádraig, in the only way he knows how: the consumption of the finest of Irish produce. 

The poor old Menu can hardly sleep with excitement, praying this is the year he fights off sleep long enough to finally meet Santa — that, of course, and the humungous preparations for the Christmas dinner.
