The Kenyan air force claims to have destroyed two al-Shabaab camps in Somalia, in the first major military response since the Islamist group massacred students at a Kenyan university last week.

The son of a Kenyan government official was one of the masked gunmen who killed nearly 150 people at a university last week, the interior ministry said, as Kenyan churches hired armed guards to protect their Easter congregations.
