Nobody saw this coming, holders Kerry totally overwhelming Cork in the second half at Páirc Uí Rinn last evening to win back-to-back Munster junior football titles for the first time since 2002-’03, and record the Kingdom’s first championship win at the venue since their minor success seven years ago.

The main prize is Sunday in Killarney, but the junior footballers of Cork and Kerry will be striving for their own bit of provincial glory on Wednesday night when the counties meet in the Munster final at Páirc Uí Rinn.
