MUSIC piracy will continue to cost the music industry here millions, a High Court judge said yesterday, after five recording companies failed to secure an injunction against internet service provider UPC aimed at clamping down on illegal downloading.

A LANDMARK High Court judgment has found that laws to identify and cut off internet users illegally copying music files are not enforceable in Ireland.

Several record company giants have failed in their High Court bid to force UPC to block illegal internet downloading.
