Europe’s sovereign debt crisis refused to loosen its grip on world markets today as commodity stocks led a fresh plunge for the FTSE 100 Index.

Upmarket wallpaper and fabrics group Walker Greenbank today posted a surge in profits as it benefited from the return in popularity of wallpaper and colour in interior design.
