Having ended last season with 50 domestic winners to his credit, Bryan Cooper has started the new campaign in good form and doubled-up on board Horendus Hulabaloo in Tipperary last night.

Champion-jockey Davy Russell completed a treble for Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown House Stud on Very Wood, Band Of Blood and Shrapnel in Galway yesterday.

Jim Dreaper appears to have a seriously-talented-prospect on his hands in the form of Lord Fingal who lit up Saturday’s Ward Union hunt point-to-point at The Folly outside Oldtown in north Co Dublin by coming home as he pleased in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden.
