Tyrone have received another pre-All-Ireland final boost with the announcement of their midfielder Enda McGinley as the winner of the Tennent's/Ulster GAA Writers Association monthly merit award for August.

Retired Tyrone defender Chris Lawn has been voted the winner of the Ulster GAA Writers/Tennent's Monthly Merit award for September after helping the Red Hands to a second All-Ireland title in three years.
