Staff at a Co Offaly nursing home have ended a n 11 week sit-in protest over the failure of the facility's owners to pay them outstanding wages.

STAFF owed money following the closure of a nursing home said there had been a breakthrough yesterday, with the offer of wages and holiday pay.

Fifty-six staff are staging a sit-in at a Co Offaly nursing home, claiming they haven't been paid in three weeks.
