Senior gardaí are concerned about an upsurge in the use of heroin in Kerry’s county town.

Concerns were raised last night about a spate of violent incidents in Tralee, with long-serving town councillor Ted Fitzgerald claiming some people were now afraid to walk the streets.

TOP festivals in Kerry have been urged to ensure their events are “not lost in a fog of drunkenness and aggression”.
