Tens of thousands of Tipperary supporters turned out at Semple Stadium tonight, to welcome home the Tipperary Senior Hurling team who won the All-Ireland Championship yesterday, after defeating Kilkenny in the decider at Croke Park.

Liam Sheedy is stepping down as Tipperary Senior Hurling manager after three years in charge, culminating in the Premier County lifting the All-Ireland title this year.

The Tipperary Senior Hurling team to play Waterford in Thurles on Sunday at 3:30pm shows one change from the side which started against Galway.

The Tipperary Senior Hurling management team have left a vacancy at midfield for Sunday's All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final against Wexford while they await the state of fitness of midfielder Paul Kelly.
