Supermarket giant Tesco today announced the appointment of Laurie McIlwee as Group Finance Director.

GF Pimlott resigned from the Tesco Board today, as previously announced.

Carolyn McCall, chief executive of Guardian Newspapers Ltd, has been appointed a non-executive director to the board of Tesco PLC.
