GAS prices have hit rock bottom but a hike this year is unlikely, according to Bord Gáis which yesterday poured cold water on any talk of privatisation.

FOLLOWING months of speculation Bord Gáis has bought the West Cork-based SWS Natural Resources business for a total cost of €500 million, including debt of €245m.

Bord Gáis have bought the West Cork-based SWS Natural Resources, one of the largest wind generators in Ireland, for more than €500m.

The ESB is no longer in the running to buy wind energy company SWS Natural Resources.

The SWS Group has announced plans for a €500 million investment programme by its Natural Resources Division.
