Sports governing bodies from Japan and Australia are under fire after complaints that male Olympic athletes flew business class to the London Games, while the women sat in the cheap seats.

Five-time Olympic gold medallist Ian Thorpe will return to international competition at the World Cup in Singapore in November, Swimming Australia have announced.

Swimming Australia have defended Ian Thorpe following allegations a 2006 dope test showed abnormally high levels of banned substances.
