AN auction in aid of conservation work on Cork’s iconic, St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, includes a limited edition print by Pablo Picasso, an Arcadian painting by William Irving, rare items of Cork and Limerick silver and a bottle of Chateau Petrus donated and signed by Michael Flatley.

Lord of the Dance star Michael Flatley is urging people to support a major charity auction, the proceeds of which will be used for the conservation of St Fin Barre’s Cathedral.

A LOCAL authority has agreed to fork out €250,000 to give punters attending one of the country’s top theatres comfortable seats and more legroom.
