PAKISTANI police say they have made their first arrest in the probe into the attack on Sri Lanka’s cricket team in the eastern city of Lahore in March.

India’s home minister said Pakistan could become a failed state and raised doubts about who was in control of the nuclear-armed country, a news report said today.

Sri Lanka’s ongoing cricket tour of New Zealand has been postponed to allow the visiting players to return home following the tsunami that swept through south-east Asia.
