An Irish firm has submitted a bid to buy the majority of SR Technics' Dublin Airport operation, it was revealed this afternoon.

The Irish Aviation Authority must not withdraw SR Technics’ licence to operate, it was urged today.

The Government was tonight accused of sitting idly by as two flagship employers in the aviation industry announced job cuts.

NO JOB losses are expected at SIFCO Ireland, the Cork-based aircraft engine-repair operation, once the sale of the company is completed as expected next month.
