One of the country's largest insurers has said it is investigating “organised rings” of people staging car crashes around the country, writes Noel Baker of the Irish Examiner.

SLASH hooks, meat cleavers and baseball bats with nails hammered into them were seized during a dawn raid on scrap metal sites by multi-agency officials yesterday.
