A MAN who knows Finance Minister Michael Noonan better than most is set to join the ministerial team and over coming years will be closer to the minister than any adviser or civil servant.

A MUSIC initiative in primary schools in Limerick’s regeneration areas will break new ground today when a CD will be released featuring children from Galvone national school in Kennedy Park, and the Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO).

SCHOOLS catering for children from Southill yesterday opened up new links with young students attending schools in Cape Town, South Africa.

MORE than 170 children from three Limerick primary schools teamed up with the Irish Chamber Orchestra at the Holy Family parish church in Southill as a unique music programme in the city hit all the right notes.

A LOOK at life in Southill over a span of more than 40 years encapsulated in a booklet was launched yesterday by the Mayor of Limerick, Cllr Ger Fahy.
