Broadcaster BSkyB reported a 4% rise in annual earnings today as it said new customers were joining the firm at the fastest rate for five years.

BSkyB today announced its financial results to year end June 30 showing good growth for Sky in Ireland.

Satellite broadcaster BSkyB has announced that the total number of Sky digital customers in Ireland rose by 19,000 to 484,000 in the three months to March 31.
