A little bit of football history was made on Sunday when Salernitana played Benevento in Italy’s Serie B.

Crescent College Comprehensive went unbeaten throughout the Subway All-Ireland Schoolgirls Championships but ultimately ran out of time to retain their title as Methodist College Belfast claimed their maiden crown in Limerick yesterday.

Crescent College Comprehensive will likely need to topple a star-studded Alexandra College side today to become the first Munster school to retain the Subway All-Ireland Schoolgirls’ Championship.
