Consumers should be made more aware that a levy on electricity bills can actually lead to lower energy prices, according to the owners of wind farms.

REGIONAL airports, including Kerry, Galway, Donegal and Knock, face closure under Government plans to stop funding them in its capital spending programme for the next five years.

Minister for Transport Martin Cullen has announced more than €6.37m in funding for the maintenance and development of the country's six regional airports for the period 2005 - 2007.
