THE dangers of further cuts to school staffing and budgets will be worsened by the inability of families to make up the shortfalls, a parents’ leader has warned.

Parents of second-level students have said further cuts to education will push schools to breaking point.

EDUCATION costs for a family with three children — two at secondary school and one starting college — will jump by more than €3,000 next year as a result of the budget cutbacks.
