Property development group PJ Walls which has just hived off its profitable construction arm has recorded pre-tax losses of €67.9m in 2013.

Operating profits at the building group that recently completed the €7m refurbishment of the Morrison Hotel increased by 41% to €5.3m in 2011.

ONE of the country’s largest building groups, PJ Walls, recorded a pre-tax loss of €38.1 million in 2010 following a €44.4m writedown in its assets.

PRE-TAX profits at one of the country’s largest building firms dropped 85% last year after revenues fell by €100 million.
