Plans for a proposed new venue for Ireland’s rugby World Cup bid in 2023 have been quashed.

Doubt has been cast over the future of a multimillion-pound revamp of a stadium capable of hosting 2023 Rugby World Cup matches in Northern Ireland.

A decision to grant planning permission for a 38,000-seat stadium in the heart of West Belfast was unlawful, a judge has ruled.
